Negative Erfahrung: I think overall some parts of this review is not within the control of the travel agency which included the weather. However, i would have to say i was disappointed about how it wasn’t conveyed that the place i went which i will not mention isn’t really lively. With the weather being terrible i sat in my room watching movies for 3 of the 5 days i was there with not much going around. Although it was unlucky because of the weather I would’ve appreciated if they mentioned that i was going somewhere isolated with no entaitnment around whatsoever. Also the host kept finding excuses not to surf when i was literally there for the surf and traveled quite some time for it. Also i did mentioned that i wanted to go to a surf camp where i can also socialize with others and that was definitely not the case for me. So I didn’t surf much and I didn’t have fun much. Just sat there watched movies all day

Fantastische Erfahrung: We've just booked our trip (parts of it) to Brazil through Luex. I was familiar with Luex because I had already seen online that they offer some surf camps that we already know. Therefore, I assumed that the quality of the camps would be similar to what we already know and appreciate. The contacts, mainly through Bernardo (specialist for Portugal and Brazil at Luex), were very focused and straightforward. Bernardo responded promptly to my questions and always had a great offer ready. We have now decided on a week's surf camp in Florianapolis and a week's surf camp in Itacaré and are very excited to see how it will be. Fantastische Erfahrung: Martín from LUEX provided impeccable service. From the moment we made the reservation, he demonstrated an excellent knowledge of the hotel and its services. Everything was incredibly easy. When we experienced a delay with a connecting flight on our way to the Maldives, he quickly resolved the issue and arranged a new transfer to the hotel. He was attentive throughout our stay.

Negative Erfahrung: My trip was on September of 2021 on the “Fascination” boat with Captain Saeed. I have waited and thought about writing this review more than once. But never wrote the review because we never found out who actually threw our board from the boat. It was a step up board never ridden practically brand new and we just came to find out TODAY that Captain Saeed from the Fascination Crew working under Maxine and Naseem threw our BOARD FROM THE BOAT WHEN WE WERE CAUGHT IN A STORM! Please keep in mind that we got caught in the storm due to Captain Saeed’s poor judgment and knowledge of the ocean. Upon hearing Captain Saeed gloating that he threw the board off board, I realized that we should have never cut this company and this operator slack. Maxine and her husband took basically all the money and served us nothing of what was promised because you can rest assured that the sum of money was way way too much to be served uncooked meat and chicken and canned tuna and uncooked meat and chicken and canned tuna for the entire 26 day trip. Yes 26 days we paid so much money to be treated the way we were treated. I don't usually like to write reviews because we don’t ask for much and everything we usually choose or go for ends up being okay if not great. However this experience left me hating boating, surfing, Maldives and this LUEX company all together and especially the owner of this very very bad vessel called “Fascination” as she was extremely rude when we mentioned the food problem to her. Saying that she is from Monaco or I don't know where and that where we come from how would we know quality food.. that left me in shock! Not to mention the sewage smell from the drains in the bathroom fills the entire room. We were told that the rooms were both masters or at least had a full sized bed. Well turned out that one bed was a full sized one the other bed was 2 single beds attached next to each other with a piece of wood in the middle that ruined my back. Almost all showers were tough to shower in except the master bedroom which was doable. Oh and the cockroach that came from the bathroom in the master bedroom was a shock as well and disgusting realizing the smell we were smelling and how tight the rooms were then to see this cockroach it confirmed all our doubts that this was a bad deal. Please keep in mind it was not hard to satisfy just TWO PEOPLE ONBOARD and feed two people only. Yeah also, my friend was about 6’2 he kept banging his head everywhere on the boat as the boat has additional parts that doesn't seem are a part of the original hull. Attached is a picture of the food being served with a hair gift from the chef or the crew. Captain Knowledge, Food, Service and cleanliness is all 0 out of 10. If it wasn't for our surf guide who was a local and managed to show us the best time ever to make up for all the wrong doings I think we would have cut the trip short and lose our money but not spend a single day on that bad vessel. So thank you some local surf guide Mr. (EGAN) you made it worth it and made us surf so so much so we wouldn't stay too long on the boat smelling the bad smells and dealing with insects and bad food. In addition to dealing with the captain who did not want us to surf rather than he kept insisting on us to fish even though we were tracking a swell and heading towards it, he would come and ask if we can change routes to satisfy his fishing needs since we are on such a “long trip” as he said. I love the Maldives and went back there 5 times after this bad experience but never again on Fascination. Lastly, I hope Karma gets you Captain Saeed for throwing that board off the boat, Maxine and Naseem till never and hope you choke on all that extra money you took from us while providing us with a 1 star service. If I have the option to put 0 stars I would. Date stamp on picture as well.

Fantastische Erfahrung: We have just spent a week about the Hamathi and nothing could beat it. The boat and her crew were all amazing. Everyone was inviting and accommodating and the boat itself were clean. The food (there was a lot) was also delicious. There is no need for any kind of improvement and we couldn't find anything to fault. Amazing work!

Fantastische Erfahrung: Just returned from a week aboard the HAMATHI surf charter. We had an absolute AMAZING TIME. A massive thank you to Martin from LUEX for arranging. Excellent service once again. Between us we have been on over 30 boat trips and every single person was in agreement, the Hamathi boat and crew were by far THE BEST we have ever experienced. The Captain was very pro-active in finding out where we wanted to surf and offered his input which we welcomed. The crew were extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The quality and varied options of the food was OUTSTANDING and by far the best we have ever had. The last night they put on a special meal for us which was a very nice touch. We are all very keen surfers and they were always more than happy to ferry us across or pick us up from the line up. We had an amazing run of swell, arriving to a solid 4-6ft+ day and had nothing smaller than 4ft all week which was absolutely perfect. I can’t recommend the Hamathi enough 5*.

Abdullah, the captain, is a gem: looked after the 4 surfers, 4 kid surfers and “bottom feeders” (shelling/snorkelling/island trips) juggling the needs of each. I have booked for the 2nd time with Luex and I can 100% recommend these guys. They are just nice, they have visit all the places they recommend by themselves and they just take care of your whole trip! The two bookings I made was for surfing Maldives. Its not easy to find out how the waves are in the Maldives and which resort is best for your needs and have the best swells at certain times. Martin and his team have visit all the places they recommend many times, so they definitely know how it is on site and what to look for. This makes a huge different to many other agency's out there who just recommend stuff on average ratings or best commission fee. price: they can match up any price you'll find in the internet, so you won't pay extra for the service even though you should. So why not take advantage of the great service they offer. Service: Quick response rate (usually same day), really nice guys and no matter what issues you have, they can support you and take care of you. Fantastische Erfahrung: Had an amazing boattrip in Fiji with Luex. Everything was organised perfectly, the boat and the crew was great and the surf was pumping. We surfed all the breaks, e.g Cloudbreak, Restaurants and more, thanks to the local Surfguide who knew when to be where. Anchoring right at the back of Cloudbreak in the middle of the ocean to wake up and be the first in the lineup was absolutely epic. Only thing Luex couldn't provide was bribing Poseidon for catching more fishes or maybe we just sucked at it.

As surf enthusiasts living in Europe sometimes is hard to know all the needed information to get to the right surf spots in the right timmings. Luckily Luex has an easy platform that tells us almost every little detail on how to get there! The sales and support team is amazing and definetely experts on the fields. Fantastische Erfahrung: We’ve been using Luex for yearly surf trips for over 7 years ...(and that already tells you something!). Three years ago, only 1 week before a highly anticipated, fully paid, dream trip to the Maldives, we found out we were expecting twins, and wouldn’t be able to go on that trip. Luex went above and beyond to ensure we wouldn’t lose the rights to the trip, which we were able to take 1,5 years later. We’ve always had an excellent experience with Luex, but this episode far exceeded our expectations. Needless to say, we’ve continued booking our trips with Luex, and highly recommended them to anyone looking for a great costumer service. LUEX - You guys rock!!!!
