Fantastisches Erlebnis: Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation was a little tricky to find, but totally worth it. I was looking for a bike, and they went above and beyond—actually driving me in their side-by-side to the storage warehouse so I could pick the one I wanted. The staff was incredibly helpful and made the whole process easy. Definitely a great spot if you need outdoor gear or rentals! ‍♂️

Negative Erfahrung: The Scandinavian Spectacular Trip was a huge waste of money. I spent more time on a bus than not, and not enough time was given to actually explore the places we were taken. We were constantly rushed from place to place and often forced to choose between using the little time we had off the bus to participate in a tour, or instead get food and use the bathroom when we could because there was no certainty when we’d get the chance again. We were repeatedly expected to go without access to food and bathrooms for several hours on end. Tour guides Kerstin and Naomi had poor communication skills, clearly had absolutely no care at all for the safety and well-being of us customers, and clearly lacked planning and organization skills too. Very unreliable, rude, and disrespectful. Itinerary was constantly changing and wasn’t even very clear to begin with honestly. Every time we got off the bus to unload our luggage, we were either forced to unload our luggage in the street or in a bicycle lane, which was extremely unsafe and inconvenient. Tour guides repeatedly showed a huge lack of concern for the health, safety, and overall well-being of us customers in many ways. It was essentially a rushed, poorly planned bus tour, and there was nothing spectacular about it, which was very disappointing. The hiking trips with Rahssan are always a 10/10 experience, but I will not be wasting my money on their overnight or international trips ever again. Not at all what I expected and not worth the money.

Fantastisches Erlebnis: Needed to rent pavilion. Quick and easy process

Negative Erfahrung: Unfortunately, I would not recommend their ski service to anyone. I am only writing this to protect other people from having a similar experience and potentially ruining their skis. I brought my new skis in for an edge and hand-wax only because the factory tune seemed slightly worn after skiing 2 consecutive weeks. In hindsight I should have never brought them in and trusted the factory tune to last. When I picked up my skis, there were globs of wax all over the edges, on the brakes, and the thickest most uneven wax on the base. My edges were duller and more rounded than before I brought them in. I had to bring my skis into a different ski shop to fully grind off the wax, re-tune the edges, and get a new wax service.

It always seems that when we are overseas they charge more for equipment that has been overused and old. Fantastisches Erlebnis: We rented a trailer to tow our motorcycle to a local motorcycle shop. They have a few different sizes from small to large. We got the large trailer, which came with a motorcycle mount already on it. It was much bigger than we needed. It was a full size trailer, but did the trick nicely and that specific trailer came with a ramp. Staff was great. Easy transition. For the full size trailer it was $40 for 24 hours and $80 for a weekend. I believe sizes vary with price, but not entirely sure on that. Call ahead of time and make sure they have what you are looking for.
